Fixing Diagonal Hems on Shorts
What to do when the legs of the shorts “wing” out and the hemline is not horizontal but more like in a v shape? This issue is very obvious in shorts (not as perceptible in pants).
This is how you reduce the “winged” look in the legs of your shorts with this pattern correction. This will give a more flattering fit to your shorts.
1. Cut along the shorts and drop them at the waistline.
2. Give at the side-seam area to the waistline.
3. Go to zero wherever it looks right, for example, at the Center Front and Center Back.
